LEMAN has now installed solar cells on the roof of our headquarters south of Copenhagen. The investment marks the increased focus on reducing the environmental impact of our activities, which is reflected in the new sustainability strategy that LEMAN presented last fall with more ambitious targets for reducing climate impact.
On Wednesday 14th of June, Bo Lindberg Andersen, who is the CEO of the LEMAN Group, visited the roof of the head office in collaboration with Simon Borbiconi, who is a partner and co-owner of NRGreen, who supplied and installed the solar cell system, to mark the commissioning of the system.

By investing in solar energy, we want to show our commitment to reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a more sustainable future. These solar systems are only a step on the way, and we will continue to explore and implement different solutions to reduce our climate footprint,” Bo Lindberg Andersen explains.
One of the largest roof-based solar systems in Greater Copenhagen
The solar cell plant covers an area of 4,000 m2 and is thus one of the largest roof-based plants installed in the greater Copenhagen area. The electricity generated will primarily be used to supply our facilities and support the daily operations at our head office and the associated warehouse activities. Surplus energy production from the plant on sunny summer days will be supplied to the area’s general electricity supply.

Continuation of LEMAN’s climate strategy
The production from the solar plant is expected to be 741,646 kWh annually, which corresponds to a saving of 116.44 tonnes of CO2 or approx. 200 average Danes’ annual consumption, and it is a continuation of our strategy to set up solar systems on both new and existing buildings around the world. In 2021, for example, a solar cell system was installed on the roof of the warehouse used by LEMAN in Vestby in Norway.
In addition, in the past year, we have given customers the opportunity to freely read the climate impacts of their shipments, just as we have switched to lithium batteries on trucks in warehouses and electric cooling of pharma trucks during parking.
