LEMAN strengthens its global Air & Sea network by acquiring operations in Germany and Poland

leman strengthens its global air sea network by acquiring operations in germany and poland

LEMAN, the Danish-founded global transport and logistics company, will acquire Raben’s Air & Sea operations in Germany and Poland effective 1 January 2026. The move marks an important strategic step in LEMAN’s continued global expansion – strengthening its presence in two of Europe’s most vital economies.

A strategic step in two key markets

The acquisition reflects LEMAN’s strong appetite for mergers and acquisitions that make strategic sense and support the company’s long-term growth ambitions.

It strengthens LEMAN’s position in Germany, one of the world’s largest and most influential economies, and in Poland, one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets. Together, these two countries represent a strong platform for LEMAN’s future development in Europe and beyond.

“This is first and foremost a strategic move. Germany and Poland are both key markets with solid economies and great potential for us. When the opportunity arose to acquire the Air & Sea operations from our trusted partner for more than 30 years, it was a natural next step. The timing, the markets, and the match were all right,” says René Bach Larsen, Group CEO of LEMAN.

Part of a global journey

The expansion in Germany and Poland is part of a broader journey that began four years ago, when LEMAN entered China, followed by Taiwan, Vietnam, and Mexico. These steps reflect LEMAN’s ambition to build a strong, balanced global network that connects key trade lanes across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

“We have a strong appetite for growth and for M&A opportunities that make strategic sense. We will continue to invest where we already have a solid presence – and where new opportunities can strengthen our global Air & Sea offering,” René Bach Larsen says.

Focused growth – clear strategy

The acquisition only covers Air & Sea operations. LEMAN’s Road strategy remains focused on Northern Europe and other existing markets, supported by strong, long-term partnerships.

For customers, the transition will be seamless. The same experienced teams will continue to handle shipments with the same dedication and care, while gaining access to LEMAN’s global network of more than 40 offices and advanced digital systems.
