Testing electric trucks in national distribution

Testing electric trucks in national distribution

We are taking another practical step towards greener transport in LEMAN Denmark.

This week, colleagues from our National Distribution team have been working closely with Thygesen Transport to test an electric truck in our daily operations.

The purpose is straightforward: to understand what it actually takes to run electric transport in a setup like ours.

Learning before scaling

Moving towards greener solutions is a clear priority for us. At the same time, we need to make sure that any changes we make continue to support the reliability and efficiency our customers expect.

That is why we start small.

By testing new technologies in real-life operations, we get a better understanding of key factors such as range, charging infrastructure, route planning and operational flexibility. These insights are essential before we decide where and how to scale further.

Curious, but realistic

We are actively exploring greener transport options across our network. Electric trucks are one of the areas with strong potential, but also with clear limitations today.

This test is part of building the knowledge we need to make the right decisions going forward. A big thank you to the team involved and to Thygesen Transport for the collaboration.

If you are working with similar initiatives locally, feel free to share your experiences. The more we learn across teams, the stronger we stand.
