From 1 August, Anders Jelsig joins LEMAN as Group CIO and Group Operational Excellence Officer.
In this combined role, Anders will lead LEMAN’s IT organisation and help strengthen the connection between technology, business processes, quality and operational improvements across the company.
The organisational change is part of LEMAN’s continued work with its 2030 strategy, where Operational Excellence plays an important role in improving, simplifying and strengthening the way LEMAN works across the business.
Bringing IT and operations closer together
Across LEMAN, many colleagues already contribute every day to improving processes, supporting the business and creating better ways of working.
Going forward, LEMAN will bring its BPO and Operational Excellence capabilities together in one team, closely connected with IT. This includes Quality, which will continue to play an important role in supporting consistent processes, compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation.
The purpose is to create a stronger structure, clearer priorities and better collaboration across systems, processes and operational improvements.
Strong experience in IT and business transformation
Anders brings strong experience from senior IT leadership roles at DSB, DSV and Imerco. His background includes digital strategy, enterprise architecture, commercial applications, integrations, transport management systems and large-scale IT organisations.
This makes him a strong match for the next phase of LEMAN’s digital and operational excellence journey.
Operational improvements are often closely linked to IT. When systems, workflows, applications, integrations and business processes are improved, IT and operational expertise need to work closely together from the beginning and throughout implementation.
By bringing these capabilities closer together, LEMAN aims to create clearer ownership and a stronger focus on turning ideas into practical improvements that create value for colleagues, customers and the business.
A practical approach to progress
During his introduction to LEMAN, Anders described part of his professional approach as “making things a little better”.
That mindset fits well with LEMAN’s approach to Operational Excellence: practical improvements, close collaboration and a clear focus on helping colleagues work smarter and better together.
The more detailed organisational setup will be followed up directly with the relevant teams and colleagues.
