LEMAN’s Commitment to Health and Safety: Building a Safer Workplace for All

At LEMAN, we believe that the health and safety of our workforce is a cornerstone of our success and a fundamental part of our sustainability approach. We are committed to creating the safest possible working environment for all colleagues, ensuring that our operations not only comply with legal requirements but also reflect our deep-seated values of care and responsibility.

A Zero-Incident Vision

Our ultimate goal is a workplace with zero incidents – no injuries, no hazards, no compromises.

In 2023, we made significant progress toward this vision, reducing workplace accidents from 14 in 2022 to 11 in 2023. While the majority of these incidents involved minor injuries, each one serves as a reminder of the importance of continuous vigilance and improvement.

Strategic Implementation and Ongoing Education

To achieve our health and safety goals, we have implemented a range of strategic initiatives. These include regular training programs designed to heighten awareness and instill safe working practices across all levels of the organization.

Our Health and Safety committees, established at key sites, work closely with expert consultants to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards. Additionally, we ensure that all equipment is meticulously maintained to minimize risks to our employees.

Looking Ahead: A Culture of Safety

We recognize that the most significant risks in our operations occur in warehouse environments where cargo handling is a daily activity. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to reducing these risks through the enhancement of safety procedures, continuous colleague education, and the adoption of innovative safety technologies.

By fostering a culture that prioritizes health and safety, we aim not only to protect our colleagues but also to build a stronger, more resilient organization.

A Continued Commitment to Safety

In summary, we remain steadfast in our commitment to health and safety, making continuous improvements to protect our workforce.

As we look to the future, we will keep driving forward with our zero-incident vision, ensuring that safety remains at the core of everything we do. Together, we will create an even safer, more resilient workplace for all.
