Important information regarding traffic disruptions due to strikes in Belgium

Traffic disruptions in France due to strikes

From November 24th, 2025, Belgium is expected to experience significant disruptions as a result of the upcoming nationwide strike. Multiple trade unions and protest groups have announced industrial action over various labour and social issues.

For the transport sector, this poses a substantial risk of disruption to supply chains. Road freight is likely to be affected as major unions representing truck drivers, logistics workers, and public sector employees participate in the strike. Air and rail traffic may also experience delays, cancellations, or interruptions.

Authorities are preparing for potential unrest, and several unions have committed to ongoing strikes over the duration of the strike.

LEMAN is closely monitoring developments and has implemented proactive measures to minimize any adverse impact on our customers’ shipments. We remain in close communication with our Belgian partners and will continue to provide timely updates as the situation evolves.

Implications for our customers may include:

  • Potential delays in road freight to, from, and within Belgium
  • Possible disruptions in air and rail transportation
  • Temporary rerouting of shipments may be necessary

We advise customers to plan with additional lead times and to stay in close contact with their LEMAN representatives for updates and support.
