Trade Union JHL and AKT (Finnish Transport Workers’ Union) continue to support the collective agreement negotiations of industrial employees and started a new handling blockade on Monday 17 February 2025 at 6:00 a.m., ending on Friday 21 February 2025 at 23:59 p.m., unless a result is reached in the negotiations before that.

The blockade causes disruptions to the operations of the transport and logistics industry, which may affect deliveries and schedules.

JHL and AKT support the strikes of Technology Industry, Chemical Industry and Forestry Industry companies with blockade measures, which further complicate freight transport and terminal operations. This means, among other things:

  • Restrictions on goods handling in ports and terminals
  • Disruptions to border traffic and import or export transport
  • Imbalance in the availability of import and export capacity due to volume fluctuations
  • Possible delays also in domestic transportation traffic

Please contact us if there are changes in the reception of incoming goods during the blocking, so that the planning of the transport can be organized as smoothly as possible.

We will do our best to minimize interference and keep you up to date. Please be prepared for possible delays and contact your LEMAN contact person if you need alternative transport solutions. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
LEMAN Oy
